How to make yourself admin and set up a whitelist
Give yourself operator rights, keep strangers out with a whitelist, and change server settings.
Open your server's panel and go to the Players tab. Everything here works whether the server is running or stopped (changes apply straight away while it runs).
Make yourself admin
Under Operators, type your Minecraft name and press Make operator. Press Remove to undo it.
(In the Console tab, op YourName and deop YourName do the same.)
Only let friends in
- Under Whitelist, add each player's name and press Add. Tick Bedrock for players on phones or consoles (the server needs to be running for those).
- Tick Only let listed players join.
To keep someone out for good, add them under Banned players with a reason.
Change settings
Open the Files tab, click server.properties, edit it (for example difficulty,
gamemode, max-players or motd), press Save, then Restart.
